Toy movie (The Godfather) Post-production

Challenges I faced during the post-production process (editing).

The challenges that I faced were:

·        Making sure that the movie wasn’t more than two minutes long, this was a challenge because there were many scenes and I had to make sure they all made sense.
·         It was my first time using Final Cut Express, this was a challenge because I had to get used to the new software.
·         Another challenge that I had to overcome was to explain to my LSA how to use Final Cut Express.

I overcame these challenges by:

·         Shorting down the scenes to make sure it made sense and taking some scenes out, which I didn’t need.
·         By listening to the teacher who told me the basics of how to use Final Cut.
·         The challenge of my LSA not being able to use Final Cut Express was by my teacher showing myself and my LSA how it worked. After learning how to use the software I could give good explanations to my LSA with what she should and shouldn’t be doing during the editing process.

The creative decisions that I made during the editing phase were:

·         By adding fades which gives a good transition affect from scene to scene.
