Intro

Hello, my name is Isaac Harvey and this my Media Studies Blog. I am a media student doing the AS level at Seven Kings High School. In this blog I shall be showing you how much Planning, Shooting, Editing and Feedback it takes to make a good Title Sequence of a film. Hope you enjoy and hope you learn something in the process.

Toy movie (The Godfather) Production

Problems encountered??

1.       Hard to get the correct lighting (either too light or too dark).
2.       People talking in the background (hard to hear voice overs).
3.       Long scenes overall.

How did you solve them?

1.       Tried another room to get different lighting.
2.       Went to a much quieter room to hear voice clearly.
3.       While editing made scenes shorter.

What have you learnt about the production process?

I have learnt that during a production process it can be very challenging. By having this challenge it makes sure that the standard of the movie was at good quality. Most of the challenges were:
1.       Having the correct props – making sure that they were in the right place at the right time.
2.       The lighting is suitable for the right scene – making sure the lighting was consistent throughout the movie.
3.       Good use of camera angles – to make sure that the camera wasn’t moving while filming. Also to make sure each scene wasn’t mixed up, so that it made sense.
4.       Voices and toys were corresponding with each other – making sure the toys were moving correctly while the voice was playing.
By doing these tasks it displays how  difficult these challenges can be, but can also demonstrate how much easier it is for us than for the experts doing top quality movies.
